Abstract

This study begins by acknowledging the prevailing presence of monopolies in modern economies. Simultaneously, both globally and domestically, efforts persist to curb or restrict the dominance of monopolies through the implementation of antimonopoly legislation, antimonopoly commissions, boards, committees, and similar measures. During such endeavors, their primary objective is to solicit the assistance of the government. The severity of this battle has approached levels comparable to those of a genuine military operation in Kosovo in recent months. This research aims to elucidate this phenomenon and address inquiries on the essence of monopolies in transition economies.
